I'm a new proud owner of this super software. I'm going to build my own cockpit, but I have a big problem with the different license files.
On the pc, running fs9, nearly every day I get the info that license is invalid or not found on the pc. I meanwhile asked several times for new license files  Sad  I didn't change anything on hardware, the only thing was to activate and to deactivate the saitek proflight yoke system in the fs menu for several times, as I didn't succeed to calibrate it in fsuipc.

Is anyone out there with the same problem Huh As I said, I'm just at the beginning of building a homecockpit and therefore a lot of hardware will be added to different pc. Do I have to ask for new license files every time hardware will be added HuhHuh

Hello Martin,

wich module is running on the FS9 pc ?
There is no license needed for gfdserver, the other modules do need a license. If you add a HDD or extra ram then you need another license (for free for regsitered owners).

Hi Dirk,

I tried to run MCP on FS9 PC for testing purpose and it worked yesterday after receiving new license file, but today, same problem again and as I said: no change in hardware!!!!!!:-(
On second pc the GFD (incluidng MCP button)  is running, also no problems here!!

GFDServer is already running on FS PC all the time, no problem here (although I'm getting info that a config file is missing or not correctly formed).

If I understand you right, I will always need new license files, when connecting new hardware to the pc, so I will need one when getting my ordered OC MCP, EFIS and FMC !!!

Just one word about the fact, why I'm testing all possibilities: I didn't succeed up to now in calibrating the Saitek throttle, I did it as Bart described in the manual, but throttle behave
very strange, e.g. in full throttle engines run up to about 75% then fall down to idle, when taking 50%, engines īcome up to about 30% and fall down  :-((( When closing the GFD
on second pc, throttle and engines behave like they should !!!!

Regards

Martin

You only will need another licence when there are internal changes in the pc such as adding a second internal HDD or adding some memory, things like that; not when you attach new external hardware.
Secondly, you cannot run 2 MCP modules simultanously.
MCP.exe OR GFD with the built-in MCP

I thougth you did  Smiley
So when you use for example Opencockpits MCP then you only need MCP.exe.
If you use Opencockpits MCP + Efis then you need the same MCP.exe + the efis in GFD.
Sioc scripts are available in the download section.
